Cable Have I Loved.

As a youth, I always felt a little deprived since my family didn't have cable television at home. I remember taking baby-sitting jobs in my neighborhood because they would afford me that secret media vice. (I also remember watching the same ten minutes of From Russia With Love--the cello ride down the hill--because that was the only worthwhile thing watching on several nights over at the neighbor's house.) The Kelleys finally installed a DishTV during my senior year of high school, and I quickly discovered that I hadn't missed much.

Now that I'm spending more time at B's house, I have rediscovered the joy of cable television, in two channels: Bravo, for the best reality TV, and HBO for the highest quality tv shows. There are great shows on other channels, but these are my top two. I am watching Top Chef right now, and it's hilarious. Queer Eye for the Straight Guy rocked while it was on, and I still have a little crush on Ted Allen. I'm a little hungry so watching people make tasty food is fun. And the interaction of these characters--and getting commentary of what was going on in their heads during group events--is fantastic.

I'm taking advantage now since I won't be able to in about three months. All hail Bravo!
